Katie is a poet and writer from Northern California. She received her MFA in Creative Writing from Western Washington University and is the recipient of the BINC and Sourcebooks Bookseller Scholarship at University of Denver’s Publishing Institute where she received her certificate in Publishing. Her poetry can be seen Grub Street Literary Magazine, Moss Puppy Magazine, Merion West, Beneath the Garden Magazine among others.

Katie has attended residencies at ChaNorth in Pine Plains, NY as well as L.a. Studio in Patton, PA. Her current poetry collection focuses on grief, girlhood and nature. Katie has over a decade of experience at independent bookstores and currently works in marketing and design in New England where she lives with her cat Mabel.
